Esta es una banda chilena ke ya tiene sus años, pero me sorprendio su dinamismo y los hambientes que logran crear, este es un recopilatorio despues de la desintegracion de AIDF.
algunas de sus canciones sin la voz.... puede ser un buen inicio para conocer esta banda ya ke su vocalista rempaza la tecnica melodica por gritos ke cortan el aire y para muchos no es de su agrado, en lo personal a mi me fasina sino no la subiria, asi ke kien kiera checar AIDF aki sta.

Groove metal, el territorio en el que me hayo dando vueltas este último tiempo! Esta banda me sorprendió demasiado, la encontré dando vueltas en alguno de los blogs que frecuento y me confundí con una banda de Nu-metal-progresivo del mismo nombre y al escuchar la primera canción me hizo sacudir la cabeza en pleno trabajo! DEMENTE!!! De Metalcore a Groove metal hay una fina línea (Lamb of God, Throwdown), pero Recoil logra sonar a Whitechapel y a Pantera en una sola canción (por ejemplo Scarification)!

Si necesitas desetresarte un poco... Este The Will To Sin es la alternativa perfecta!

Pressive - Odium (2010)

Otro disco entre los 10 mejores del año! Pressive vienen de México (hasta ahora no lo creo!) y presentan Odium (que lo dan de gratis desde su pagina oficial!!!).

Musicalmente me suena a Breaking Benjamin con esteroides y con toques espaciales a lo Muse. Con agresión y melodía juntos, la propuesta de Pressive satisface y mucho. Entre las canciones sobresalientes, diría que Falsified y Don't Play Around muestran lo mejor de la banda en cuanto a agresión; en cambio W.W.D.S. demuestra el lado más melodico y acústico. Buena calidad para disco debut y auguro un futuro prominente para Pressive (ojalá algun rato se den una vueltita por aca pa verlos en vivo.

Norma Jean - Meridional (2010)

Mi primer post acá! Bueno empiezo con el mejor album del año, a mi parecer (el Ø de UNDERØATH quedaría en segundo lugar). Nunca le presté tanta atención a Norma Jean hasta que vi y escuche Deathbed Atheist. Me fascinó la canción, la propuesta, la letra, el video, todo. Es una mezcla de mathcore con metalcore y toques progresivos (Tool como primera influencia). El manejo conceptual de todo el disco es demasiado interesante, los breves pasajes casi ambientales representando los puntos cardinales hacen que descanse de cabecear y relajar el cuello.

Meridional de Norma Jean, se está convirtiendo en influencia musical grande para mí. Ciertos elementos los tomaré prestados algun momento en alguna canción!

Cierto, de paso una cuña agradecimiento al gran maestro Junkhead por la motivación y toda la música que le he robado de los blogs y foros donde lo he encontrado!
